Bodega

This design reimagines the ubiquitous New York City bodega as a self-sufficient center of urban food production by integrating bodega and urban farm.

A response to the American City’s food deserts, the design allows space for urban agriculture to provide quality produce 24/7, 365 days a year. Completely self-sufficient, the bodega includes a hydroponic infrastructure which handles green waste and gray water locally. As a bonus, the urban farm’s vegetation cleans the air.
